Turn 006 // Voice to Rockets/Action

[There's a rumbling sound behind this feed, and Malik's voice is shaky too - he's currently riding shotgun in a garbage truck, with his Muk and a couple of Grimers in the back doing the honors.

But regardless of the broadcast quality, he sounds pretty insistent.]

Johto garbage detail. Report in.

I want all the details as they occur. Any complications, contact me immediately.

We've got a schedule to keep, lest things get dirty.

[[ooc: Sorry if I'm jumping the gun getting the plot started this morning - unexpected traveling came up this week, and I'm heading home today prettttty much as soon as I hit "post", but wanted to get Johto's garbage leader out there beforehand. Feel free to forward-date to after any official plot kickoff, if there's one. ^____^;;;]]

[Technically, Gorthan's not even in Johto - in fact, he's on his way to Celadon - but his transceiver relays Malik's message nevertheless. Whatever background noise Malik's feed has, Gorthan's has something very similar.]

Ah, agent... Ishtar, correct? I do not believe we have met.

[Keisuke's feed is just about the same--perhaps a little more hum of the truck and a little less clarity on his actual voice, but it's enough to stay clear.]

Agent Takagi, reporting in, sir.

[And not sounding particularly happy about it?]

Nothing of interest going on here.

[And Clive here is the one driving said garbage truck, speeding through the streets of Goldenrod as Malik makes his post to the network. There's rock music playing on the radio, as well, though the volume is low enough so that Malik won't have any problem conversing with other Rockets. Or Clive, for that matter.

Clive already knows all the police routes by heart; after all, he's working as an undercover police assistant, so he knows them better than any other Rocket. Therefore, he doesn't really require any assistance at all, but it's still nice to have some company, and who better than the Johto garbage leader?]

Was that pun intentional?

I prefer Malik. But yes.

[There's a lot of issues wrapped up in being an Ishtar, after all.]

And who might you be? Checking in?

[Whatever could be wrong with this mission? It's not like it came out of the blue and involves carting piles of garbage around!

Whatever. Malik's not missing out on this chance to promote himself.]

Keep me updated, regardless. Even the slightest suspicion could upset this whole plan.

[Whatever this whole plan might be.]

And agent....smile. It's an actual mission. An opportunity.

[Malik sits back in his seat, Gear dangling from his hand for easy access, and glances over with a smirk. He'd been meaning to work more with this particular young man, and then this mission'd come along - two birds, one stone, etc.

So in a show of companionship, he smirks.]

Do you doubt me?

[He chuckles.]

It did seem a little too blatant.

But anyway, it's been a while since I last saw you. What have you been up to lately?

[THAT WAS THE WORST PUN EVER, MALIK]

Good luck. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that this mission is quite important.

[...If he doesn't get a promotion after all the work he's been doing for Team Rocket due to someone else's screw-up...]

I'm doing my best to keep a low profile.

[Which was hard since he technically shouldn't be driving. Still, didn't want Atsuro or any of his friends seeing Keisuke being the bad guy.]

Sorry, sir, just not exactly how I planned to spend my day.

Groundwork, mostly. Gaining "honest" employment.

[He rolls the word in his mouth to show there is nothing honest about his new job. This also would be the part where he brags about being a part of the Game Corner attacks, but yeah. Team property. Mum's the word.]

I suppose that's been enough to catch someone's attention.

[He's acting more composed than he feels: he hates not being able to actually spy on his underlings. But he's also tapping his fingers on his Gear in time to the music you've got playing. Should this plot succeed (whatever that'd take), it could be his chance!]

Bit redundant to do so anyway then, correct...?

[But he'll nip his irritation in the bud. You're a useful ally.]

You're coordinating the other stage of the plan, if recollection serves.

[Oh, he likes you. And this job. It makes you call him "sir". Which is exactly how things should be.]

Yes, I am. Hughes is in charge of Kanto's operations.

[He won't say anything else about that, but he's not exactly thrilled about working with Hughes. Or having Hughes in charge of anything. Ugh. Worst boss.]

I assume everything is running smoothly so far?

[He hates this job. =c And being respectful keeps him out of trouble with Team Rocket. Oh well, at least it makes Malik happy...]

...Yeah. Alright. I'll keep that in mind.

[Like he was going to do anything else.]

Clockwork. I wouldn't be surprised if we finished ahead of schedule.

[And now that he's said that, he'll have to be an even bigger nag to make that happen.]

Do you have preferences regarding where you'll be planting these discs? If we coordinate, we can ensure the best possible results.

The same, mostly. I've recently taken on a mission to infiltrate the police force and gather some dirt on them, so I've been working on that.

[Which explains why Clive has been avoiding all those police routes like a boss without any prompting.]

Also, do you remember my Zorua, the small black and red fox Pokémon I showed you when we first met? She just evolved yesterday.

[He delivers that news in a particularly cheerful tone.]

[You don't sound like you'll be impeding affairs, in any case.]

[You're in with the police? Does he know how to pick his associates, or does he know how to pick them.

Malik looks quite interested by this update.]

Congratulations. I take it she's gained even more useful abilities? Your Pokémon were already quite the team.

[You know how to pick them very well, Mr. Ishtar!]

She certainly has! As you might recall, she was able to alter her physical appearance into any form she desired. But now, she's also gained the ability to alter reality itself.

[Surely Malik can understand why Clive is so excited about this development.]

Agent Gorthan, supervisor of the Group 2 operations. A scientist, when off mission.

How is Group 1 faring so far?

Excellent. No, I don't have any preferences, though those working under me really shouldn't have any issues figuring out what to do with the discs. They're bright enough.

[Well... "Caroline" seems to be, at any rate.]

Still, I'll ensure they're very clear on what needs to be done before they attempt anything. We don't need anyone getting caught.

[He's rather contentedly driving this truck into the ground, as is obvious by the heinous noises in the back ground of this recording.]

Nothing to report really, other than will be-- STOP EATING THAT NOW!

[He now has his head craned back, paying now attention to what's in front of the truck as he bitches out his monster, the Munchlax putting down whatever was halfway to it's mouth with a sad 'Munchlaaaa'. Only then does he go back to looking where he's going, giving the steering wheel and obviously veer back onto the road.]

--Will be depositing largest garbage pile outside Ecruteak Monster Hospital.

[Ah, his "equal" in this plot. Very well.]

No complaints. Hijacking and distribution are proceeding as ordered.

I trust you'll be able to report the same.

[Yeah, he's actually sitting up straight at that - though he relaxes again not long afterwards, smirking broadly. He'll even cross his legs for good measure.]

Define "alter reality".

[He's unsure if you're baiting him because you have something in mind or just bragging. (He can certainly think of a few uses for something like that, himself....but now he needs to figure out what he can offer in exchange).]

Good to hear. We'll be - subtle about the locations, but as you say, nothing your team can't determine for themselves.

[And if he knew more about Johto he'd be specifying locations to each truck driver privately. But as he's only been a handful of places, alas, he'll have to defer to those who live in these cities.]
