[Impatient with training, Malik's left a note on his desk for his Rocket supervisors ("Back soon. Look forward to gifts") and successfully escaped HQ. A profitable venture should cancel out the breach of conduct.

Except why is it so nice outside. Why is everyone so happy. People aren't, by nature, happy creatures. This unnerves him.

Turning to the PokéGear, he switches it on.]

[Except then the feed goes staticky; the Gear hits the ground and switches to video. A dark-skinned boy with a Duel Disk on one arm is twisting to get a look at what's knocked him over, snuggled against his back and hugging him.

For that matter, trying to kiss him.]

[What an auspicious beginning to his life of crime.]

Easy it's there are two things you'd have to deal with any of your pokémon. They're smarter than most give them credit for. They can easily figure out how to use your gear and decide to record you at a bad time.

I'm guess you don't want people to see your attitude shift?

[Honestly if Malik hadn't drop the act, Killua wouldn't have been as helpful as he is right.]

The other is a little be more complicated.

I can keep track of my Pokémon.

[And if they know what's good for them, they won't disadvantage him the way you're describing. Or any other way.]

Certain pokémon are very skill at sensing the emotions and moods of humans. A negative or positive reaction from them can show a lot about a person.

[It's a bit disturbing some feed on certain emotions. ]

In your case though, you caught a pokémon that is part psychic type. It can mentally communicate with you and others.

[Malik doesn't usually like being at a disadvantage, knowledge-wise. Today, however, he doesn't mind so much.

Besides, that last bit's interesting.]

[He definitely has a higher opinion of Smoochum now. It'll be nice to communicate mentally with flunkies again.]

Will others' Psychic-types be a problem? I'd hate to deal with someone else's rudeness, intruding where they don't belong.

It depends on the situation, pokémon, and trainer. [He shrugs]
